Fall Must Have: The Blanket Scarf

image

As fall sets in and the temperatures begin to drop there is nothing cozier than a fuzzy, warm and soft blanket scarf!  Named after their blanket like size, this scarf has become a essential peice for everyone’s closet! It not only keeps you cozy and warm  but also makes a stylish statement!

Blanket scarves can range anywhere from $29.99 – $99.99. I normally stick to neutrals and black and white when buying accessories but opted for two of this seasons hottest colours (Emerland Green and Blue). I actually found mine for a steal  for $17 at Urban planet which is by far the cheapest I have seen thus far.

If you don’t already own one go and get yourself one!!  You will surely fall in love with it! Below are four different ways you can wear a blanket scarf.

Fall Fashion Must Have: Burnt Orange

Hello Beauties!

There are two colors I absolutely adore for fall…one of them being burnt orange! I personally find that this color looks amazing with my skin tone and feels very earthy at this time of year.

Here is my great little casual chic look from this weekend:

I found this great little sweater from H&M – it’s got a cream chiffon blouse attached underneath which made the layering game an easy one! I especially adore this piece as it’s got a great cut out at the back! I must say…this sweater turned a lot of heads this weekend !

I’ve paired it with light wash blue denim also from H&M along with a pair of light cognac lace up booties from spring.

One thing I love is mix and matching items to create different looks! Look out for different variations including this piece this fall!

Fall Fashion : The Fur Vest

1442845438954[1]

After a few years of watching this trend and second-guessing myself, I finally bought a fur vest!

I had decided that this was the year I was going to buy one, and when I found this piece at an amazing price, I knew it was a sign. I find that this piece is a staple in my closet for the fall. It’s a great layering piece for the cooler fall days and it’s great that you can throw it on and create multiple looks that will turn heads either way you dress it up or dress it down!

Here are 6 tips on how to wear a fur vest!

  1. Feel like a socialite by dressing up your boyfriend jeans by pairing it with a pair of pumps and statement necklace.
  2. Layer your sweater dress with your fur vest and a pair of knee high boots
  3. A fur vest instantly makes a white top/blouse with black jeans look amazing!
  4. Create a glamorous combination by pairing your fur vest with a floppy hat and over the knee boots.
  5. Go Classic with a striped shirt, blue denim with a cognac belt and boots!
  6. Be fun by pairing your fur vest with a graphic tee and bright shoes

P.S:  My Fur vest is faux-fur, I don’t wear animals!

Casual Chic

ca·su·al chic

Adjective

Casual chic is the paradoxical term for looking put-together without being overdone. Mastering this elusive look is all about zeroing in on a few key pieces that work to turn a simple outfit into something fabulous but low key.
